Course Description

Achieving quality for children does not depend on the type or nature of the administrative structures that support programming. Quality can be achieved within a wide variety of program models, including models that support programming for children only or for children and parents together. In this module, you will have an opportunity to think about program models and consider how their differences allow them to meet the varied needs of children and families from diverse cultures, and how those differences influence professional practice. In this module, the focus shifts from individual children and families to program models that best meet the needs of children alone, or children and their parents together. Three types of models are considered.
