Course Description

Children who are actively involved in nature on a regular basis enjoy many benefits. This module is a compilation of three expert perspectives. Peter Vogels addresses the issue of why it is important to get children re-involved with nature. Mary Caroline Rowan, Annie Nulukie and Margaret Gauvin describe an approach to an outdoor nature curriculum grounded in Inuit knowledge and designed to inspire Inuit educators, children and parents. Enid Elliot describes research that identifies the benefits of more involvement with nature.
